5 Days Bale Mountains Trek

Day 01.  Drive to Bale Mountains
Leave Ziway and take a drive to Bale mountains which is about 250km south east of the country.(4-5 hrs drive) On your arrival to the park Headquarters, in time for a leisurely afternoon take an easy hike, possibly spotting two endemic mammals that frequent seen to the area:  Menelik’s Bushbuck and the Mountain Nyala.  Birds in this area include the Blue-Winged Goose, the Spot-Breasted Lapwing, the Abyssinian Long Claw, the Wattled Ibis, the Black-Headed Siskin, Rouget’s Rail, and numerous other species. 2hrs hike. 
Overnight Camping. 3000 masl. 

Day 02. Trekking Dinsho to Sodota
Start hiking from Dinsho and enter the National park. While trekking through the park there will be a chance to see the rarest canid Ethiopian Wolves and birds of prey. Stop by Habera waterfall for a nice break then heading to Sodota Campsite for Overnight. 3,500masl. 20 km hike.

Day 03. Trekking Sodota to Adeley
Today after breakfast heading to Adelay across through the web valley area and pass to the wood land part of the national park, chance to see the rare and endangered canid Ethiopian Wolf , Gaint mole rat and endemic birds of Ethiopia. 18km walk.
O/night Adelay campsite. 3,400masl.

Day 04Drive to Sanneti Plateau and Harenna Forest:-
After breakfast heading back to the start to the HQ of Bale Mountains through the gassay grasslands, 2 hrs walk. and take a​​ ​drive to Sanetti Plateau above 4000 meters, with Afro-alpine Moor land, beautiful wild alpine scenery. Chance to see the rare and endangered Canid species Ethiopian Wolf, Abyssinian Hare, water birds like Blue winged Goose, Ruddy shell duck, Wattled Crane and others. Then after lunch continue to the Southern part of the park to Harrena forest which is the largest Tropical rain forest in the country, take a hike to water fall and Bamboo trail. Chance to see the endemic Bale Monkey and numerous bird species.  Overnight Wangari Guest House in Robe.

 Day 05. Fly out of Bale Mountains: Transfer service to Airport for your flight of Addis.
